The header photos (the big banner ones above) on my site were all taken by me, mostly while on holiday.
I have been into photography since I was a boy, when I was given a 110 camera as a gift.
It was not until I was given for my use my Dad’s old Ricoh camera as a teenager that my photography really took off. That camera had a type of focussing that I understand is called parallatic foucussing, whereby focus if achieved my aligning two semi-transparent yellow rhombus shapes that are visible through the viewfinder. When the rhombus shapes merge into one, the image is in focus.
In 2005 I was given a compact digital camera and in 2008 I bought an upgrade.
Then in 2012 my girlfriend bought me a DSLR for my birthday, and my photography took off. The work you see here was make with the “bigboy” camera.
